PT Hotel Sahid Jaya International Tbk., established in Jakarta on May 23, 1969 with the intent and purpose to carry out efforts in the field of hospitality and tourism industry. In 1970, the Company started the construction of a hotel in Jalan Sudirman 86 Jakarta are then operations on March 23, 1974 under the name of Hotel Sahid Jaya. Besides having 439 rooms at that time, the Sahid Jaya Hotel also has several meeting rooms, a restaurant and rooms for offices, small shops and sports facilities such as swimming pools and tennis courts. In addition, PT HSJI also established a subsidiary called PT SIHMC (Sahid International Hotel Management and Consulting) in 1993. PT SIHMC engaged in the service management and hotel operator, until the current PT SIHMC manage as many as 21 hotels in the network under Sahid Hotels.
